SBL FASHION ACADEMY is a fashion school owned by Omolayo Ogunniyi. It was founded in 2022 at Bode Thomas, Surulere, SBL Fashion Academy (SBLFA) was born out of a passion for fashion education and the growing demand for structured, professional training in Nigeria’s fashion industry. What began as individuals approaching the founder for guidance has now grown into a full-fledged academy with a clear vision and a defined target audience.

By 2025, SBLFA embraced a bigger vision to be perceived not just as a tailoring school, but as one of the leading fashion institutes inAfrica. More than teaching the art of garment-making, the Academy is building a stronger presence in the global fashion space, inspiring students and professionals who want to be associated with a world-class standard of creativity, discipline, and innovation.
Strategically located at Gbagada, Lagos, SBLFA has become a hub for aspiring and established designers seeking practical skills, industry exposure, and entrepreneurial knowledge.
We offer beginners class, intermediate class, Advanced and Embellishment class. With a structured curriculum, professional grading system, and vibrant alumni network, the Academy goes beyond skill acquisition to nurture visionary designers equipped for both the local and international fashion scenes. At SBL Fashion Academy, we don’t just train fashion designers we groom innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders shaping the future of African fashion.
